SHIRIN HOOSHMANDI // PRODUCER // DIRECTOR
Born in 1991, in Graz, she initially studied Business Administration at the Karl Franzens University in Graz. In 2014, she started her study in Film Production at the Film Academy Vienna, graduating with honors in 2018. Since 2018, she has been pursuing a Master’s degree in Production. “Go fuck yourself” is her masters thesis project and is mentored by Barbara Albert. In 2012, she founded her own production company, Filmatelier Wien. Additionally, she is a founding member of Filmszene Graz, an association for creative collaboration in film and photography. Throughout her education, she produced numerous narrative short films and documentaries, including Josef Markus Julian, finalist at the Semaine della Critique, Cannes Film Festival and the feature-length documentary Another Life. She has also produced several short films, where she served as director, including „Cheers,“ which has been showcased at numerous international festivals . Currently Shirin Hooshmandi is working as Producer and Production Manager specializing in Feature Documentaries. At the Moment she works on “Celo Sister” by Alban Bekic, “My Name is Najla” by Patrick Wally and “Die Eisgrenze” by Stefan Fauland
